Read the Tollgate Portfolio ledger
Mode: how-to. Read the Portfolio view to see how every investment is tracking, and decide where to invest, hold, or stop.
The Portfolio gives a sponsor or investment committee the rounded picture of each investment — health, confidence, cost, and outcome together — without drilling into each one. There is no single “anchor” metric: you read them as a set.
Read the page, top to bottom
Section titled “Read the page, top to bottom”- Open Apps → Tollgate Portfolio and select your Plan.
- Start with the steering headline and summary. The dashboard leads with how many investments are off track, the spend at risk, the RAG distribution, and confidence counts. This is the at-a-glance read. Terminal investments (Closed / Archived) are excluded from these totals — they’re census, not spend at stake.
- Check the Awaiting your decision queue. Investments that are
Submitted(awaiting funding) orClosingSubmitted(awaiting close-out sign-off) are lifted into this queue above the ledger. Rows needing your decision are highlighted. - Scan the ledger. Every investment renders in one sortable table — from Exploring through to Archived. Each row carries enough of its tracking picture (health/RAG, Outcome confidence, cost baseline→forecast with variance, the outcome in its own terms, and stage) to judge it without drilling in. Terminal rows are dimmed and sort last.
- Use the action tiles to focus. Clicking a dashboard tile filters the ledger to its culprits and scrolls it into view; clicking the active tile again clears the filter.
- Group by theme or stage. Themes are your own categories (operational area, programme, or benefit type) — group or sort to see where a comparison is valid. Tollgate scaffolds the comparison; it doesn’t fabricate one cross-everything “value score”.
Drill in when you need to
