Generate a since-last-steerco digest

Mode: how-to. Get the “what’s changed since the committee last looked?” read in seconds.

Between meetings, a sponsor’s question is narrow: do I need to interrupt the PM, or can this wait? Tollgate answers it two ways — a passive ribbon on the dashboard, and an on-demand digest from Ask Tollgate.

Read the ribbon on Investment Health

1. Open the project’s Tollgate tab and the Investment Health view.
2. Look for the since last steerco ribbon near the top. It summarises what has changed — status and RAG moves, confidence shifts, new change requests, materialised risks, treatments, decisions, and thesis amendments — since the anchor point.
3. The anchor is set automatically: it is the last time the dashboard was presented (see Present the dashboard to a steering committee), or, if it hasn’t been presented, a window derived from the reporting cadence.

Generate the digest on demand

1. Click Ask Tollgate from the Investment Health tab.
2. Choose the starter “What’s changed on this project since our last steerco?” (or type it).
3. Tollgate returns a deterministic digest: a one-sentence prose summary plus structured counts (status, RAG, confidence, change requests, materialised risks, treatments, decisions, amendments).
4. To measure from a specific date instead of the automatic anchor, say so — for example “…since 1 May”.

Note

The digest is deterministic, not a generative summary — it counts real register events, so it is safe to read aloud in a meeting. Ask Tollgate requires the Rovo agent (Jira Premium/Enterprise); see Ask Tollgate for briefings and insights.
