Generate a since-last-steerco digest

Mode: how-to. Get the “what’s changed since the committee last looked?” read in seconds.

Between meetings, a sponsor’s question is narrow: do I need to interrupt the PM, or can this wait? Tollgate answers it on demand, through Ask Tollgate.

  1. Select Ask Tollgate from the Investment Health view.
  2. Choose the starter “What’s changed on this project since our last steerco?” (or type it).
  3. Tollgate returns a deterministic digest: a one-sentence prose summary plus structured counts.
  4. To measure from a specific date, include a phrase such as “since 1 May” in the question.
  • Status updates, and RAG (red/amber/green) moves.
  • Outcome and Adoption confidence shifts.
  • Change requests raised, approved and rejected — and approved change requests applied.
  • Baselines locked.
  • Materialised risks, and the treatment decisions logged against them.
  • Decisions of record, and thesis amendments.

A locked baseline, or an approved change request applied to the business case, never reads as “no material changes” in the digest. Those are the movements a committee must hear about unprompted.

If you don’t name a date, Tollgate resolves the anchor itself:

  1. The latest evidence of a steering committee — the most recent steering minutes recorded against the project.
  2. Failing that, a window derived from the reporting cadence.

Recording the minutes is the canonical post-meeting act, so it moves the anchor. The next digest measures from the meeting you just had, not the one before it.
