Export the governance record

Mode: how-to. Export an auditable CSV of governance events for evidence, audit, or circulation.

Tollgate keeps an append-only audit trail of every governance event: decisions, changes, risk events, status updates, and thesis amendments. You can export it as a CSV at two levels: the whole portfolio, or a single project.

Each row records the timestamp, category, event, item, actor, details, and lifecycle stage — who approved what, on what basis, when.

Export the whole portfolio

1. Open Apps → Tollgate Portfolio.
2. Select the Jira Plan whose projects you want to include (see Connect a Jira Plan).
3. Open the settings menu in the page header and choose Export governance record (all projects).
4. Tollgate compiles one CSV of every governance event across all in-scope projects and downloads it.

Note

Tollgate enforces access per project. Projects you can’t see contribute no rows to the export. The record only ever contains what you may read.

Export a single project

1. Open the project’s Tollgate tab.
2. Open Settings (the gear) and find Data — import & export.
3. Select Export governance record (CSV).

The same section also offers Export full record. It downloads the complete record for the project as one XLSX workbook: business case, work packages, Risk register, decisions, changes, and audit trail. Use it as your keep-a-copy record. For the restorable JSON backup, see the backup guide.

Tip

The export is the auditable, portable record — and the documented exit path for your governance data. You are never trapped in Tollgate.
