Connect a Jira Plan

Mode: how-to. Point the Tollgate Portfolio at a Jira Plan so it can roll up your investments.

The Tollgate Portfolio view runs on Jira Premium’s Advanced Roadmaps (Plans). It reads the projects in a Plan and shows their governance health side by side. No Plan, no portfolio rollup.

Caution

This requires Jira Premium. Advanced Roadmaps (Plans) is a Premium feature — the Portfolio view can’t work without it. If you’re not on Premium, you can still run the full governance workflow on any single investment from that project’s Tollgate tab.

Connect a Plan

1. In Jira, create a Plan (Advanced Roadmaps) if you don’t already have one.
2. Add your investment projects to the Plan as issue sources.
3. Open Apps → Tollgate Portfolio.
4. In the page header, open the plan picker dropdown and choose your Plan.
5. Tollgate resolves the Plan’s projects and loads their governance health.

Tollgate remembers your choice, so the page defaults to that Plan next time.

If nothing appears

• “Tollgate Portfolio needs Advanced Roadmaps” — the site isn’t on Jira Premium, or your account can’t access Plans.

  On a Premium site, create a Plan containing your projects and it will appear here.

• “Welcome to Tollgate” (the first-run screen) — no Plan is connected yet.

  Step 1, Connect a Jira Plan, offers Select a plan when the site has Plans. With none, it offers Open Plans in Jira — create one, add your projects as issue sources, then come back.

• “No Tollgate data found” — the Plan resolved projects, but none have Tollgate governance data yet.

  Open a project’s Tollgate tab and start tracking it.
